I obviously converted this raw file to a black and white and gave it a slight copper tone. I like the metalwork on the second storey porch and the mardi gras beads hanging on the line across the street.
The old roof, plywood dormer, neon hotel sign, and slightly blue sky make for a perfect picture moment.

We've heard of various legislative projects called "The Bridge to Nowhere"--well, this is a train track to nowhere. Actually, they had just torn down part of it.
This twisted, mangled piece of steel lying in a shadowed corner reminded me of so many things. See the weld line two-thirds of the way across, from left to right?
Taller of two towers at copper smelting plant in El Paso, TX. Most everything else had been torn down--the two towers would be imploded last, removing an eye-sore and pollutant in the city.
