These manikins are all business, with the same plastic no-smiles. I snuck up on them in one of the many shopping centers in Santiago, Chile.
Some gifted graffiti artist's work in the Bella Vista neighborhood of Santiago.
Countless leftover posters on a meter box. The keyhole blends in.
Dropped white paint as a graffiti artist hastily added these muted colors, especially combined with the partial poster to the left, just caught my eye.
Light, light, and more light. That's the theme, as light plays its game in this abandoned railway station.
The lines on these massive doors, against the contrast of the shiny tile floor, plays a little havoc with the horizon.

A potter throwing a candle holder in Pomaire, Chile. This was shot at 6,400 ISO, handheld with Canon's new 70-200mm lens with upgraded image stabilization. I used Nik software to get some of the "noise" out of the image.
The biggest and oldest magnolia tree I have ever seen. This shot was a three-part HDR, then it was converted to black and white and given a "Holga" style. The Holga is a cheap Russian plastic medium format camera that uses medium format film. Valparaiso, Chile.
