I received rare permission to take one last set of photographs before they finished removing the remainder of the railway and blowing up the towers. It has been a sore spot on El Paso's skyline for years, and a source of significant emissions.

Taller of two towers at copper smelting plant in El Paso, TX. Most everything else had been torn down--the two towers would be imploded last, removing an eye-sore and pollutant in the city.
