Monteagle Falls, on a late fall day after a heavy rain, deep in the valley.
A squirrel checking me out in Union Square, New York City.
Nate and I on a very cold, rainy walk down in the valley. Here he is ahead of me, toward dusk, as if he discovered America or something.
A Cooper's Hawk next door on the neighbor's deck. (Shot by Julie Baker.)
Roxy (L) and Lucy (R), her mother. Lucy is a Lab/Rottweiler mix, and Roxy is what happens when you combine that with a Shar Pei daddy.
Not a great picture, technically, but how many chances do you get to catch a cute puppy curled up in her dish. This is a Lab, Rottweiler, and Shar Pei mix.
A beautiful bird sitting nearby as we ate breakfast, in Antigua, Guatemala.
The inside of a queen conch I brought back from the Turks/Caicos Islands. Taken with a 180mm L Macro lens at f/32 for 10 seconds and dual 580EX Speedlites.
A squirrel monkey in the Manuel Antonio preserve along the pacific coast of Costa Rica, just east of Jaco. Handheld, with a Canon EF 400mm f/4.0 DO USM IS at 1/125. The bokeh of this lens is incredible.
